Another amazing donation from Wells Fargo!
"The American dream of homeownership is alive and well in Sheridan. We’re pleased to join forces with Habitat for Humanity to do our part to make this dream a reality for a local family,” said Anthony Spiegelberg, market president for Wells Fargo in Sheridan. “By creating more quality, affordable housing that adds to the number of local homeowners and strengthens our community, we all win.”
About $5,000 of the donation is being used to help make the home more environmentally friendly by incorporating many energy-efficient features. The new home will have energy-efficient appliances, Blueboard insulation, an insulated foundation, a 95 percent efficiency furnace with a heat pump producing long-term energy savings, and double-paned windows.
“We appreciate Wells Fargo stepping up to the plate again with this generous donation of money and manpower,” said Jessica Lindsley, executive director for HFHEB. “Community partnerships such as this go a long way to making our local efforts that much stronger.”
Anthony Tarver, Wells Fargo business relationship manager, is coordinating the volunteer effort for the 2011 project which begins on May 15, 2011. The home is expected to be completed in July.
Since 2006, Wells Fargo has invested more than $140,000 to Habitat for Humanity projects across Wyoming.
The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation was created to provide permanent solutions to homeownership needs in Wells Fargo communities nationwide. Through the volunteerism of Wells Fargo team members, more than 2,500 homes have been built or renovated through the Housing Foundation since its inception in 1993. The Housing Foundation is funded by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
